The route: Gentle and within easy reach.

Lovely path along the seafront with flat stretches and some inclines to get your pulse rate beating. You can either begin in Puerto del Carmen at the port via some steps, or skip them and start at the parking lot next to Barranco del Quíquere (the option shown on the map)

The route is divided into three parts. The first, takes you to Puerto Calero, where the only difficulty is a steep set of steps. The second stage is along the pedestrian promenade in the marina. And the third is the part leading you to Playa Quemada itself – although it is also an easy walk, there are two or three rocky sections.

Best feature: Mix of inclines and flat terrain. Beautiful sunset. Within easy reach.
