Miguel and Loreto left their busy life in Madrid to return to their home island and set up a craft brewery in an old net workshop. It’s located in the heart of the fishing district of Arrecife, where can still feel the seafaring soul of what was once a very important fishing port.
Right among the ship’s stores and bars where old people achingly reminisce about the sea, they’ve set up what they’ve appropriately named ‘El Camarote’, or cabin, which serves different beers made in the brewery on the premises which you can see in action through a glass pane in the bar.
The simplicity and the love that’s gone into it make it one of the most charming bars in Lanzarote. A couple of days a week its owners take a break from the hustle and bustle of running the brewery and offer tour and tasting sessions which give visitors the opportunity to sample its variety of craft beers, paired with cheeses, sausages and preserves.
