The route: Medium-distance trail across flat terrain.

Flat coastal trail on compact sand, ideal for training or a medium distance run. Start at the San Juan car park and look for a small path that heads away from Caleta de Famara by the sea (towards Bebedero del Espino). This initial path, and the section when arriving at Caleta de Caballo can be the most uncomfortable when running since there is loose sand with some stones.

After crossing a small wall we reach the main part of the trail: a wide and very comfortable path. All we need do is follow the part closest to the coast.

Best feature: The contrast between desert and sea. The spectacle of the waves crashing against the cliffs.
Point of interest on route: Lanzarote’s largest desert area: The El Jable mineral river. | The Chinijo Archipelago Natural Park – A paradise for seabirds.
