Located next to Arrieta town centre, this beach has long been a place for novice surfers and bodyboarders. It has a lively family atmosphere, especially in the summer months, when many Lanzarote residents move here to their second homes in the north.
Strong waves don’t normally prevent swimming, but it’s sensible to keep an eye out. Another small problem may be that in recent years the sand has been disappearing at quite a rate, leaving behind only rocks. A great plus is that it has two beach bars and a restaurant where you can slake your thirst and sate your hunger at some point during your beach day.
Eat + drink: Two beach bars and a restaurant on the beach.
Pros: The atmosphere created by the beach bars, or chiringuitos, which are not particularly common in Lanzarote.
Cons: In summer there is competition for space on the sand.
