Description:

It is the largest marina in Lanzarote and is located in the tourist resort of Playa Blanca near the paradisiacal Papagayo beaches and opposite Fuerteventura and the Isle of Lobos, separated only by the La Bocaina strait. The port is sheltered against the wind thanks to the Los Ajaches Mountains.

This marina offers everything sailors could possibly need: supermarkets, hardware store, restaurants, accommodation, car rental. Some useful distances by road are: Timanfaya National Park – 26.8 km; Arrecife – 35.4 km; Órzola (in the north) – 70.7 km.

Thanks to the Marina’s sheltered location, the approach and entry to the marina do not usually present much difficulty with the predominant winds NNE, it opens towards the W. If you have approached down the east coast of Lanzarote, caution is advised in front of Punta de Papagayo where there are dangerous shallows even some distance from the coast. Upon arrival you should moor next to the pumps at the outer harbour and wait to be attended by port personnel.

Port services, facilities & setting:

The marina is located in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote’s newest tourist resort which is well known for its impressive accommodation facilities. Its expanse means it rarely suffers from the crowds of tourists typical of other large resorts. The tourist area is mainly concentrated along the pedestrian promenade which runs all the way from the Marina to the centre of town.
