Located on the sheltered southeast coast of Lanzarote near the tourist resort of Puerto del Carmen, this was the first private marina in Lanzarote and to this day remains impeccably maintained. Its design and the shelter it affords make it very cozy. Although the northeast wind can blow quite strongly, the pedestrian promenade and the terraces are pleasantly sheltered.
Nearby sailing destinations include the beaches of Papagayo and the Isle of Lobos (8 and 11 miles away respectively). The Chinijo Archipelago is about 33 nautical miles away.
The marina has a small supermarket, a chemist’s, car rental, a gym, and a good variety of restaurants and terraces as well as some clothing stores. Currently, there is no hardware store in the port itself, but there is a large dry dock for maintenance work.
As for the arrival procedure, the marina opens towards the SW and there are no obstacles on the approach. Boats must communicate their arrival, and wait (unless otherwise indicated) at the reception dock at the end of the inner quay, opposite the control tower.
Port services, facilities & setting:
The marina was built at the same time as the surrounding development of upmarket residential housing, tourist villas and apartments and two large hotels, with Spa and bike rental.
